Hi, I have two accounts with more than 200k+ and 320k+ USA Followers.

I’m thinking to set up Shopify store which will be relevant for me followers.

Does It works?
Someone is working from social media traffic?

Please share your experience.

How many followers do you have and what is your revenue and etc.

I need motivation to start…

It has to be explicitly relevant to the followers. I ran a tshirt print on demand store for my niche and made enough to pay half my rent in a week with under 15k followers and just the cost of setting up shopify as I designed the products myself and leveraged influence of higher profile followers who would repost the product. It can be done! And with 520k combined it's definitely worth a try, go for it dude!

Hey @FutureHunter ,

First off, congrats on the massive following! With those numbers, especially being USA-based, you're already way ahead of the game.

To answer your question: Yes, it absolutely works. But, as with all things, the devil's in the details:

  1. Niche is Key: Ensure that whatever you sell on Shopify aligns with the interests of your followers. If you've built your Instagram around fitness, a fitness-related product/store would be a no-brainer.

  2. Engagement: It's not just about the follower count, but how engaged they are. If you have good engagement rates, your conversion on Shopify will be higher.

  3. My Experience: I started my Shopify store promoting through my Instagram account of 50k followers (way less than yours). In the beginning, it was a slow grind, but now I average around $5k/month in revenue. It's all about consistency and understanding your audience.

  4. Promotions: Consider running special promotions or discount codes exclusively for your IG followers. This creates a sense of exclusivity and drives traffic.

  5. Influencer Collabs: With your following, you can also collaborate with other influencers in your niche to cross-promote.

  6. Stories & Reels: Use IG Stories and Reels for product showcases, behind-the-scenes, and other engaging content. It humanizes your brand and gives a personal touch.

  7. Ads: If you're willing to invest a bit, Instagram's targeted ads can work wonders, especially if you already have a good organic reach.
Remember, the e-commerce world is vast, and there's room for everyone. It's all about carving your niche and serving your audience well. With your following, you've got a head start. Dive in, experiment, adjust, and keep moving forward.

You got this! And hey, when you're rolling in those Shopify sales, come back and share your success story. We're rooting for you!

Cheers to your success!

Thank you for two great answers!

I have few questions and I will be happy if you follow me in this thread.

I don't want to annoy my followers. Products will be from the same niche, but everyone doesn't like promotion posts. How often can I share posts/reals?

  1. Engagement: It's not just about the follower count, but how engaged they are. If you have good engagement rates, your conversion on Shopify will be higher.

From main account I have 2-3M reach per month, If the post is on fire 5-10M, profile visits 80-120k.

Sometimes I get 50-300k Likes for each post.

Main account is about Cabins/Cottages/A-frames
Second account is about Vanlife/Buslife/Camper

It all depends on the type of followers you have. If you have a clothing insta account sell them clothes. If you have something related to music sell them music stuff. That's how it works

In the past I had a 90k followers tech gadgets niche account, I always used to get requests from various dropshippers for doing shoutouts for them on that account, from the tech/gadgets niche. Not so sure about their revenue generation etc from it. But I think you should surely give it a try with that many followers.

320k Instagram is about Tiny house/Cottages/A-frames
200k is about Van Life/Camper Van

I have already built a Shopify store. Next step is to register an LLC in Delaware + Stripe.

Any good ideas for Shopify store in this niche?

How did you build this massive account?

Shopify store just based on your IG Traffic or in general social media network is not a good idea, you also need paid traffic for it if you want to scale

Doing affiliate marketing for products related to van life and camping will be better imo. If you're planning to dropship from china, the products are going to be of sub-standard quality. You'd be better off collecting affiliate commission from established brands.

Niche products related to your post content on the accounts will definitely be a logical investment. Maybe 80% of the customer volume will be on Instagram, but you should also

consider the potential of customers coming from other channels. Organic American accounts are well and the system will work. Respect for your effort.

I think you should try it. Your motivation already consists of 200k, 300k people. Good luck.
