My account is 6 months old, between 15-20k real us followers.
All my reels don't reach even 10k views, the top one was 6.5k views.
I had posts which reached +1M views and all my posts get +20k views.
I have checked my account status and everything is in green, what could be the reason? like the algorithm will only push my posts and not my reels?

Reels are evaluated separately from posts, and reach now depends heavily on early retention and watch time, not follower count. If the first engagement signals are weak, distribution stops even when account status is clean.
 
Turn your account into "creator" profile; then check the previous videos and there analytics, and then check the recent ones. It will show you what might have be the reason for the view change.
 
Keep on posting and try better reels
 
Most likely, the content is simply not interesting to people. Look at the depth of video views and viewability. Usually, good, interesting content is promoted by Instagram even on the worst accounts.

Reels and posts are pushed by different systems. Having green account status doesn’t guarantee reel distribution. Reels depend heavily on early watch time, retention, rewatches and saves in the first 30 to 60 minutes. If people scroll past fast, IG stops pushing it. Also follower count doesn’t matter much for reels. Try stronger hooks in the first 1-2 seconds, shorter reels (5-9s, I found 7 to 8 seconds to be the sweet spot personally), native edits and avoid reposted or watermarked content. I’ve seen accounts where posts pop and reels stay dead until one hits the right retention pattern.
 
algo thing, yes. Or maybe something else. Whatt is your niche?
 
you’re not shadowbanned . this is a format + behavior issue, not account status.
 
possible that your content is not that interesting and you need to change format
 
-First 2-3 seconds matter the most in the reel so focus on gaining user attention here.
-If your Posts are performing good, double down on it and post less reels.
-See what other pages in your niche are posting and repurpose their content and post it in your way.
 
Your reels aren’t pushed because Instagram tests them to non-followers first and if the first seconds don’t hook, watch time doesn’t stay high, or people don’t rewatch/share, the algorithm kills distribution—posts and reels run on separate systems, so past post virality doesn’t help reels at all.

probably algorithms intentionally don't push your reels to recomendations
 
Instagram isn’t punishing you — it just hasn’t decided you’re “a Reels person” yet


Want to tell me your niche? The fix depends heavily on that.
 
Posting require making caption with any attention quotes using good graphics and add if trend hashtags in target niche with other trending pages to generate views and other interactions.

Do you have a creator account? If so you can see detailed analytics for every post and reel you make. The point is to adjust/adapt your content in order to make your reels viral.
