Has anyone else noticed their Instagram reach has dropped significantly in the last week or so? My reach and subsequent sales are down around 70% in the last 5 - 6 days.

And looking at my competitors I've noticed their engagement is suffering too.

Hopefully it's just a temporary blip - but it just feel quite severe at the moment where things that would go viral last week aren't doing so now,

Instagram normally does updates around November. However, go to account settings and check the account status to see if everything is in the green.

Yes, many are seeing a big drop in reach. Likely due to algorithm changes prioritizing saves, shares and watch time.

That's interesting - hopefully it bounces back soon. I remember something similar happening in July but it didn't last too long. All my accounts are totally fine in the account status section

Okay, thanks. Could be worth trying different angles that push for that sort of engagement then

I think is a wave of accounts that go down in reach because when alghorithm change it change how the accounts get audience and some may go down and other will go up

Yeah, I’ve noticed something similar recently. Reach seems way down even on content that used to perform well. Might be another algorithm adjustment rolling out. Hopefully it stabilizes soon.

Try making more content in Reels. It greatly increases account engagement if you do them several times a day. I speak

My reach has also taken a hit recently. Feels like the platform is favoring newer content types, so mixing in reels or interactive stories could help regain some visibility.

Testing new content angles or collaborating with other creators might be a way to get your posts back in front of more eyes.

Instagram is not down, but organic reach and engagement have decreased in some niches. It’s still strong for branding and marketing, but short form video and Reels are now taking priority.

no issue on our iphone farm so far, maybe just a temporary thing especially you have only one acc can't tell

yeah reach tanked across the board last 7–10 days. IG pushed a quiet algo shift reels testing tighter, less random virals, more “known audience” delivery. everyone’s charts look bruised rn, even big dogs. not your content, just platform mood swinging. keep volume steady + refresh hooks. it usually rebounds.

Carousels can still perform well for educational or storytelling content but Reels dominate reach and discovery due to Instagram algorithm favoring video

Yeah, a lot of people are seeing the same drop. Instagram pushed a small algo update recently, so reach is unstable right now. Usually it normalizes in a few days. Keep posting consistently, mix Reels + carousels, and refresh your hashtags the spike should recover soon.

It seems to really depend on your niche, the general thing is that Instagram is pushing hard to get back to its roots, you know just simple photos of food, vacations, friends, sports, and nature, that kind of authentic, personal content is what the algorithm seems to be favoring now. Because of that, it's gotten super fussy and is basically shadowbanning anything that feels too salesy, spammy, or falls into those "controversial" niches marketing, crypto or other pages.

Yes, this dip is happening across a lot of accounts — IG clearly tweaked the algo again.
Reach is throttled while the system “recalibrates,” so even strong posts underperform.
Usually stabilises in 7–10 days, so don’t change strategy too fast.
Interesting, thank you. Hopefully it recalibrates soon because even by big accounts feel dead at the moment
