Hey BHW,

Been lurking and reading for a bit. I am trying to put together an instagram account around gaming clips. I had one before and it was perma stuck on around 100 views. I didnt warm it up properly tbh.

My questions are:
  • Can I do this on my personal phone while having a separate account for my personal? Or is it gonna affect things?
  • How does geolocking work? I don't want to use vpns and all that to fake my geolocation to another country. Would this hinder results if I stick to europe (thats where I live)? Will content be pushed outside EU?
  • Can I download reels from google drive and upload from phone after editing on pc? Or is that messing something?
Any more tips you found recently?

Thanks

Yes you can have it on your personal phone; just keep in mind that if you post reels that go against meta's TOS, then obviously the account will get suspended; however, this might make any other accounts under your accounts center in some risk aswell. That being said; just make sure to follow the TOS.

Yes, you can run it on your personal phone with another account - that’s normal and actually safer than using weird setups. Just don’t switch between tons of accounts or behave inconsistently.

Geolocation isn’t a big limitation - being in Europe won’t lock your reach there. If your content performs well (watch time, engagement), it can still get pushed globally.

Editing on PC and uploading from your phone (even via Google Drive) is totally fine - that’s a standard workflow.

Main tip: focus on strong hooks + retention, and warm the account with normal activity (scrolling, likes, a few comments), not just posting.

Don't worry about sharing phones; Instagram allows you to completely separate your personal and gaming accounts without restrictions on interaction, as long as you don't randomly like each other's posts. In Europe, your content will start in the local market, but simply using English and optimizing keywords will allow AI to automatically push your videos globally if the quality is engaging enough. Creating content on a computer and then transferring it to your phone via Google Drive is the most optimal process to maintain sharpness and avoid image blurring, which is a major enemy of the algorithm. For breakthroughs, focus on tagging the right topics and utilize the first 3 seconds to showcase the most spectacular gameplay moments – that's the key, more practical than any other trick.
