Every platform has these things. Some explicitly allow and several others allow until someone reports them. If you're not interested in them, then stop watching them. If you watch a few out of disgust, IG algo thinks that you're enjoying them and shows you similar content.

Not only Instagram, but you will easily find adult content o several social media platforms. There's no restriction. Twitter is another example. The thing is that people enjoy such content and demands more such content. Eventually, the platforms also want to make money. So, they do not take appropriate action. aaa
