Instagram just dropped an update that tanks views for accounts that reposts clips from other sources. If your pages rely on this I'd definitely look at remixing your videos.

Anyone else notice this?

That is why it is important to change the hash and meta data of each post so that the content is "unique"

can you give an example of a repost? there's creators who remix content like reaction content, but would that still be considred repost by ig ai?

Yeah, I noticed it too, reposted clips died overnight, but anything slightly remixed still seems to get pushed.

I also noticed that Instagram views on repost videos are dropping. Self-recorded or remixed clips still perform much better. So if your page relies on reposts, it’s best to change the content a bit

Instagram update is hitting repost pages hard so remixing original videos might be the best move now.

Yes it's hitting reposts hard i've noticed. Wild but it's kinda a good thing more original content is better

They had the technology reading the content on the post for a few years back, but now they started cross posting maybe

Totally been feeling this too. It’s wild how fast the platform shifts and suddenly the same strategy stops working. Remixing or adding your own take might be the move now, especially to keep reach from dropping. Curious though has anyone tested how much original context or editing actually improves visibility?
