Instagram now tracks engagement groups

The instagram fraud department now has people joining engagement groups and taking down names of all users. It's super easy especially since some groups have thousands of people.
If your account has been hit with engagement drop, chances are they caught you using engagement group

wonder if and how they will track private engagement groups (like single person owned Eg group).
 
When you think about it, it makes perfect sense for them to do something like this. Any social media company is going to catch on to trending methods that abuse their systems, and find a way to prevent as much of it as possible.

Sad but that's just the way the game is :(
 
yeah i have a friend that lives in menlo park and is dating a girl that works at Instagram HQ. I decided to fuck it and tell everyone here because blackhats should always win

the solution I can think of is to create really private instagram engagement groups. those big public ones are gonna get hit

ehh, im going to take this with a grain of salt.

But i wouldn't be surprised if they did start penalizing accounts that are active in EGs, my bet would be that that they analyze the account behaviour of those in EGs and punish for that. seems like more their style and efficient than taking notes of people in EGs and punishing them individually.

Either way if this were to start happening they would have a hard time banning or punishing privately owned engagement networks.
 
It would be a lot easier for them to just track liking activities.

Suprised that engagement groups lasted this long tbh.
 
Seems to make sense, looks like I've been shadow banned recently and the only difference for me is the use of EG groups.
 
Most engagement groups wouldn't be hard to detect. You wouldn't have to join any specific group and write down people's names to find something like this out. When a picture is posted and then is flooded with generic comments and likes from accounts ranging from 5-500k that all mutually like & comment on eachother's random content - it's incredibly suspicious.

Example account (sorry if this account belongs to a member here): https://www.instagram.com/travelelation/

Scroll back on the comments and you'll see what I mean. A travel account gets flooded with 50+ random comments from accounts ranging from fitness, to memes, to luxury, to food. Instagram can easily see stuff like this and put limits on all the accounts that receive these types of interactions.

If you are going to do engagement groups, do them smarter.
 
hahha paranoid android... a friend of my cousin gilfriend brother works in IG and he told that it is IG running this forum to be aware of all the things they have to ban and correct !

Why would that be suspicious? Yes, people are probably supporting each other but...
What's so wrong with that? It's a comment, well that's at least what I think, if it's somewhat meaningful & not a smiley or something cheap like that.
I don't think IG should react to these things because it's just interaction between users, shouldn't matter in which niches they all are.
 
LOL. The thread creator probably has horseshit accounts which cannot grow and this jealous outburst is a coping mechanism.. that's all.
 
it's crazy how I'm trying to help out our blackhat team and the blackhats themselves are throwing a fit

the goal is to figure out how to be smarter about what we do and people still are commenting non-sense. if you don't believe what I'm saying, that's on you

It does matter what niche they are in, and when it's repeated hundreds of times daily Instagram will notice.
 
Was gonna quit anyways.
Was trying it for 2weeks now - no organic following, no explore page, top hashtags didn't really do sh*t, impressions dropped.. . . . .

Basically IG f*cked me for using EGs, so f*ck EGs. (At least the general public ones)
 
Bots should start adding random accounts to every round to prevent this and it should be made obvious with alerts. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. I'm sure there's a way to pull this off and make list scraping useless.
 
Are we talking Telegram engagement groups or DM groups? Because if we're talking about Telegram, how does Instagram know for sure that you're the one posting your own account name in the round drop?

I could see this being a problem in DMs though, since Instagram knows for sure it's you since you're logged into your account. I would use extreme caution with IG DM groups. There is some anecdotal evidence that they can lead to account limitations. Caution is also advised with DMing strangers with big accounts asking for sfs or engagement on your account. I've heard of a couple of stories of people with baby accounts approaching people in the millions asking for power likes, then getting their accounts smacked down (banned).
