Instagram’s new repost feature lets you natively share others’ public posts/Reels to your feed, with credit to the creator and a dedicated “Reposts” tab on your profile.

You should already have it, I got the feature on all my accounts yesterday (im in europe), just try watch a reel and see if you have the option to repost it (make sure app is up to date)

They took a long time to implement this basic feature compared to TikTok, but glad to know that they finally implemented it

It looks good, but the first time I saw the new feature, I thought the reposted post would show up on the main feed. Instead, it appears in a totally separate section, so I’m not really sure if that will make a big difference.
That said, it works the same way it does on TikTok, so it might work here as well. Still, wouldn’t it be great if you could also post it to the main feed?

People can use that for automation too. For example, you can now repost the newest reel to all the other pages. I guess they would have to put a daily limit on it since reposting many reels from the same account could potentially flag the profile. I will check with our team if we notice any flags and get a safe number to repost once the feature is officially available to us.
