Instagram New description cut!

Instagram has cuttet their description lenghth!
Before there were 'no limitation' now after aprox 50 Letters you must click on '....' to read the Full description.
As we all know people are Lazy nearly nobody will click on it which will destroy instagram monetization completely in my eyes.

What's ur opinion if you have already noticed this?

If you think that will destroy monetization of IG you need to try some new things mate! Won't affect what I'm doing at all, so I have no problem with it.
 
It doesn't hide the bio links but it affects if someone doing a shoutout for you.
I mean they first must click on '...' to read the full description were it doesn't is as effect as it's someone see the full description while scrolling down trough instagram.

It affects so much people.
 
My theory,

IG doing this to bring back the engagement back... For most of the people that have following above 4k following the feeds may become so crowded and they have no space on their ADS which going to be released on public this december...

so they make all the possibilities to short the feeds such as non square photos / ads and now caption.

I have noticed this on my android galaxy s6. My friend noticed the same.
We are doing cpa and our earnings have dropped rapidly.
It's based on an loong description and since we have noticed this earnings got fked badly.

The description cut is coming for everyone on every phone. People's reach have decreased what I've read so far.

Make your last bucks out of instagram. It won't be this easy when instagram finished with their ad system.

i haven't checked it on mobile yet, but on desktop there's no change yet

can't you just write a short call to action and guide people to the url? when i did CPA on ig, i think i didn't really use more than 50 chars in the bio plus the url of course in the website field

It is coming for everyone.
Instagram is getting destroyed in my honest opinion
 
I noticed it too. It's pretty annoying and I think indeed that it will have influence of monetizing Instagram. I don't think shoutouts will become useless you just have to find a different way to describe it.
 
The feed has not been altered in terms of what photos can be seen.

EVERY photo shows up....for now. Blame your drop in cpa/engagement on something else.
 
I'm so glad these Instagram updates are happening, I'd like them sooner to be honest. It rids the unmotivated out of the game. Honestly, this doesn't affect anyone at all if they know how to properly make money from IG. 50 characters is plenty to write killer persuasions. And there's so many ways to monetize IG accounts, the lists are endless. Sure, it gets harder.. but it happens to everyone. So if you're at the top, you'll stay at the top. It'll be harder for people to climb up the ranks.. and that's a very, very good thing in my opinion.
