Instagram new API?

Hello, I'm new here and I've saw lot of people talking about Instagram APIs.
Few days ago, I was successfully sniffing Instagram traffic from my Android device to build my own bot but something changed and I can't get its traffic anymore.

Did they update their API version or are they still stucked on v1?
After some researches, I managed to sniff Instagram traffic on a old version, so I just want to be sure that I'm not wasting my time working on a deprecated API version.

Oh sir, I wasn't talking about their public API.

Why even mess with any of that? There are already amazing bots that work like charm. They can do whatever you want with them.

how did you get your hand on the non public api? did you use browser developer tools to inspect what request was being made when u did something and replicated it.
