Instagram max follow per hour for bot

I'm working on my own custom Instagram mass follow bot and I was wondering if there is a certain max number of people you can follow every hour per token?

Someone told me it was around 40-120 per token.

Also, I'm new to Instagram, but what will happen if you go over your allowed hourly limit?
Will it just block you from following more people until your count gets refreshed or will you get some kind of infraction.
