Instagram just removed the explore page

Hi

I'm from Switzerland so I don't know if this feature has been out in the us or anywhere else, but IG removed the explore page button in the bottom of the app and replaced it with reels.

What do you guys think about that? I personally think its trash. Reels is 95% garbage.

Reels and IGTV helps leverage the best out of viral content. Now is the time to make a killing as that too would eventually get saturated. Normal feed loads under search tab.

They want to promote reels so in my opinion it’s a smart move for them but I completely agree that reels are trash,gives me the same tiktok feeling and mixing it with photos lol.

Overall not a good move!
 
I don't like it. But there is still a chance to see explore page, just hit search button on the top right.
But yeah, this reels thing looks like a copy paste from tik tok lol

Yeah I know that I can still see the explore page. But the impressions from explore are going to drop like crazy

Its already saturated in my eyes
 
Possible that this function was released for all at once, also shopping icon appeared as well. They are really going after the TikTok trend, a bit too late though?
 
Those who click the "Reels" button incorrectly 10 times a day instead of the "Search" button !! Wave your hand :);)
 
Lol its a fight to capture attention and tik tok stole a ton of it from the other platforms recently. You see snapchat doing similar things as TT now also.

is there any trick to get your reels viral to the main ig feed?
 
There is also a Shop now on IG? It is also new. How can I push my store to the first page on the Shop? lol
