Instagram is now a tiktok .

Personally I'm not interested in having to make Reels to promote anything so the Reels issue is really annoying for me. I'm not doing it. I started counting how many Reels came up on my personal account and about 50% of the content that appeared on my feed was Reels from people I don't follow. Then ads (that were also reels) and then finally photos from the people I actually follow and enjoy content from. I think at the end of the day they want to keep you on IG for as long as possible, showing you Reels that are popular hoping you'll stay longer, because they want you to see as many Ad Reels that they can while you're on the app.

SO you are going to let instagram rank you lower because you don't like reels? I don't either but i still do reels now.

Besides leaking people's data one thing Mark Zuckerberg is very good at is stealing features from competition.

I read something last week that instagram is not just pushing video content but intends to devalue static photo content in feeds in the near future. If you aren't willing to post reels/stories, you should focus on facebook and twitter, although facebook is leaning towards more video content, too.

Yeah, i’m not sure if i like what the instagram is doing with the reels, but i guess that’s what’s getting the attention atm. Instagram has to find a way to keep up. I mean, if youtube is pushing shorts as well…

Instagram will become #1 platform for ecommerce selling mark my words. What we see on TikTok is lots of creative, but common people dont know to shoot short tiktok content that is good. Less work with pictures and selfie lol

I don't think many of us are as in this fast-paced world with its immediate gratification, and dopamine kicks; short videos do deliver. It is a time-efficient way to grow global reach and influence catering to trendsetters, businesses, entertainers, and marketers alike so IG followed suit.
Agreed!

These platforms are all about monetisation now and making as much money as possible. Mark be like okay I have to copy tiktok to make more money? I will do that. It's literally a mess these days, Lots of OG stuff and good old days are really gone. Reach and engagement gets automatically reduced unless you profit them with your content or either you pay them for ads, It's totally fuc*ed up now.

How many of you is missing old Instagram because now Instagram is similar to tiktok and also prompting to make a short video content on there platform .
Yeah you are right. All of the social media platforms started to be similar. Even youtube made "shorts" like tiktok. Their aim is to keep up with the new generation and innovations. But they are losing their originity.

yeah.. You are seeing more TikTok videos on Instagram write? But Instagram never becomes a TikTok again. Because everyone has seen how TikTok rise and its fall.
fall? u livin in 2043 buddy?

The purpose of these applications is to guide you, you like them, videos that they do very well with "cookies")

No ,i not missing old version because I like new instagram,

Particularly shorts i like very much also it is very popular

Well its normal to be like this .Just think that video always bring more emotion than a picture or text .Thats way 90 percent of affiliate products have a video on their sales page

But now wherever every platform is such that people want to be famous except twitter, they find the solution in the videos

I utterly despise tiktok type short form video content. It's so stupid and dumbs down the masses!

I think youtube, facebook are also showing the same now a days.
