Instagram - I feel like a jerk

I have been on Instagram about two months and never realized that bots were employed for likes and followers. Really then, what is the point? I have worked so hard to get over 3000 followers and over 100+ likes per picture to find out others do it the easy way. This morning a so so picture was posted and an hour later 8,000 likes and 3 hours later, over 13,000 with 25 thousand followers? There is something seriously wrong with this picture . What am I missing here?

aare you trying to tell us your a jerk or you feel like one? sounds preety much the same
