Instagram Hashtags Strategy?

Hey !

I just wanted to know what your hashtags strategy is on Instagram.
I've noticed for the last few days I had a decrease in engagement and I'm starting to think it's because of my hashtags.

Can you give me advices ?

From what I have learned using big hashtags with small accounts <100k wont help with anything at all.
So the best bet is to aim from rising hashtags, local hashtags and small hashtags (but not so small that there is no traffic)
 
at least from my experience the biggest hashtags are pointless. I run a travel page and using let's say #travel won't give me extra engagement at all

Follow my steps here:
  1. Go to Instagram search box and type your #mainkeyword
  2. Press OK, or whatever to get search results!
  3. Go manualy to posts that pup up in the first places in the search results and that got lots of engagment BUT when you look at their Insta page you will see that they don't have that much followers to get that amount of engagment, you get it ;) check their F**** Hashtags that they used, cause those Hashtags ...:anyway:

I'll second this advice. I created a pet niche account recently and on my second post I was already over 200 likes, by posts 4-5 I was well over 400. I used his hashtag suggestions in my other niches as well and they all jumped in engagement.
 
Do not use the big hashtags if your account is small. No way you are going to get anything out of it. As another guy above me said, its best to steal smaller but trending hashtags from other people.
 
The hashtags you use should be relative in size to your account.

So if you have an account with 1k followers you shouldn't be using hashtags with 1mil+ posts

I vouch for this, did this on my pug page and doubled my tag reach

I vouch for this @Nicknames ...I posted a random post on my gaming page with the gaming tags, my 1.9k followers account now has a post with 3.8k likes and 27k in hashtag reach for that specific post.
 
you need to use those hashtags that are actually relevant for your posts.make sure to find the trendy hashtags working on your niche and include them on your posts so as to get benefited more
