ok so i just got my account "hacked"
i literally just got an email notiication
1. password changed
2. email removed
3. phone number removed
i totally cannot recover my account now
my account is still up
in the email it said it was changed to a *.ru email
"Your new email is [email protected]"

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for this?!

Always use two-step verification: https://help.instagram.com/566810106808145
And my suggestion for you would be to scan your PC for malware and/or keylogger (If you have been logging on instagram through your PC).

Your acc is bought?
Many acc sellers are actually resellers and oryginal sellers resell accs after some time.

Many acc sellers use bought email accs(for example from buyaccs.com) to create IG accs. Buyaccs resell email accs after some time as second hand - some people buy this second hand email accs and in this way they can get access to FB/IG/Twitter accs made with this emails.

That's how IG accs are "hacked".

i think the answer might have been cuz facebook was hacked
not sure if you guys are aware! it happened basically yesterday

You can reset your password IF you got the registration mail, the mail with which the account has been created at first.

I had a problem like that in facebook months ago. Solution was to activate two-step verification, not only in Facebook but in all my personal accounts.
