Instagram growth techniques on Tumblr?

I've been immersed in the Instagram world for the last two months and only today it hit me that it might be a possibility to use everything I've learnt from Instagram and implement the same techniques on Tumblr.

Has anyone got any experience with this? Or are there some fundamental differences between Instagram and Tumblr that completely change what is and isn't possible?

I have... Tumblr is slower but works well. Setup up autolikes under the popular hashtags and if your content is good everyone will follow you. I have 96K on instagram!

Awesome Did Tumblr help you to reach 96k on Instagram or is that completely unrelated? How long has it taken you to get to 96k?

It's similar for sure. It's all about the hash tags/tags, following and liking on both platforms if that's what you're asking
