maybe thousands, some order taobao shop just have 1-2k followers and their business seem ok

If you have an Instagram account with a large number of followers (usually from 5000 followers) then you can think of making money from sponsored posts but of course many IGs with a small number of followers still make money. But in general, the more followers, the better

Depends on what you're doing. For example, 1k is a sizable following for sellers, specially if you're an active seller and they're active buyers interested in your offer. I have acquaintances selling gaming and designer shoes on there who make a hefty sum.

Depends on how you monetise your instagram and how big your audience is. If you have products to sell then you can make more. However if you cooperate with another company and you promote their products like affiliate marketing you're gonna make less.
