Instagram engagement down last week?

Has anyone else's engagement been lower the last week or so? I hear rumors it has to do with using DM groups, but everything is just rumors. Anyone have any insights or suggestions on how to handle it? Thanks!

Could have been due to Instagress's recent closure. That stopped a lot of accounts from doing liking actions.

Definitely has to do with Instagress's shut down.

Interesting thoughts. I never used it so never would have thought it had an impact on my accounts. Guess it might.

Some people I'm in DM groups seem to think that the DM groups on instagram are causing less growth and when they haven't used them over the last couple of days their growth has been greater. Any others have thoughts on this? Is Instagram's algorithm taking into account DM groups now?

I dont use engagement groups on my big account and the engagement has gone down by half on it. I only use engagement groups on my tiny acc and that acc eorks fine.
