Hello Blackhatters,

I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts on Instagram and their online stores. Is it your primary driver of traffic? What methods (posts, DM's, giveaways) have you found work best?

The reason I ask these question is this:

I have been growing a bunch (20+) accounts all in the same niche over the past 6 months. I am now at 300k followers spread across the accounts and each account has at least 10k followers. At this point, it is time to think about monetizing. Most people point to shoutouts as the best form of monetization on IG, but I think this is short sited. As such, opening an e-commerce store is what I'm hoping to do.

My idea is this - Currently I am gaining about 300 new followers per account per day (around 10k followers per day overall). All of the followers are in the same niche and would be interested in the same type of product / e-commerce store. Each day, I will send out 200-300 DM's per account to brand new followers with a message like this:

"Hey NewFollower,

Thanks for the follow. I looked through your profile and your pictures are awesome. Since I know you love *niche, you should check out @MainBrandIGAccount. They have an amazing feed and sell products that are really cool. If you use the coupon *YourCurrentAccountIGName at www.StoreName.com, they'll give you 10% off. I look forward to seeing some more of your awesome pictures"

Coming from an account with 10k+ followers to a user that you already know is interested in your niche (this is why they followed you in the first place) I think the traffic from DM's could be substantial. From what I read, it seems like people have sent between 200-300 DM's per day and been safe. This is essentially a free email list.

If anyone has anyone thoughts, I'd be very interested to hear your opinion on this idea. I've been growing the accounts for quite a while and am excited to monetize and build a brand.

Thanks,
King

yes primamry source of traffic, feel free to add me on skype if you wanna talk , nick : vincenTTTaa

Instagram as a primary source of traffic works best for my shops with visually appealing products.
I usually use a mixture of DMs (mostly manual) and time limited offers in combination with a post. Contests are very good as well.

It really depends on the niche for shoutouts to be short sighted. I have some accounts where shoutouts work like a charm and others where I focus on e-commerce only.

My question is , how can you get 300 followers per day , what is your method ? What did you do ?

You can't send anymore 200-300 DMs per account, and even less if you plan to use the same message + link on every DM.

I tested instagram with Sunglasses e-commerce niche, and works so fine.
Usually I use influencers accounts... is better than ads

Thanks for the responses. If anyone has an opinion on how best to optimize this method, I would love to hear it.

Hi, the idea is fine but ... Instagram security system don't block the msg for spam? I think after 50 messages with same text instagram block you.

consider using delicious/digg/folkd -good demographic people there

Well I'm definitely going to be using a LOT of spintext on the messages.

I'll keep this thread updated. Does anyone else have comments?
