5.8k account just got banned after receiving a dmca for a picture.
I learned my lesson. Think twice before reposting pictures. Use originals or scrape pictures from other websites.

Just states in the mail that my content has been removed that instagram complies with the dmca act and if I want I can apeal it.

You can get dmca for reposting others pictures from others accounts? So like if i have a meme account and im reposting memes from a popular account is that dmca? Or if i repost pics from natgeo instagram or ferraris instagram does that lead to a ban?

Normally you have to get 2-3 copyright strikes for an account to be banned. I highly doubt this was a one time thing. You should've stopped after the first time you got a warning.
