Instagram deletion (messages)

To delete your account, go to Settings and Privacy, Account Center, Personal Details, Account Ownership and Control and select Permanently Delete. Deleting messages must be done before deleting the account and Instagram doesn't have a "Delete all messages for both parties" button with a single click, you must press and hold on the message you sent and select Revoke to delete it.

You can delete your Instagram account through the Accounts Center. After deletion, your messages will usually remain in chats, but your name will no longer appear, it will just show as “user.”
 
Deleting an account does not remove messages from the receiver's inbox. You must 'unsend' each message individually before deleting the profile. For bulk removal, automate the unsend process using an auto-clicker or a Python/Selenium script prior to account deletion.
