Instagram delete or deactivate account

Hey guys,

I'm currently thinking about shutting off my ig account, due to multiple reasons ... can anybody of you explain to me what the difference between deactivating and deleting is. The fact that i can revive a deactivated account is obvious, and I also know that a deleted account remains deactivated for about 30 days before completely being deleted. But are there differences in the data that remains on the platform, for example, if I delete it, will all my comments, every place where i was tagged and so on be removed as well? What about Chats is it possible to remove them as well, and i mean remove them completely, if i recon correctly the chats will only be deleted on my account and not the ones i chatted with is this correct? And is there a difference between deleting/deactivating?

btw what would be the proper way to backup all my media?

Deactivating your account - You can reactivate it again whenever you would like it but until you do, it won't be visible to anyone.
(Data hidden but not gone)

Deleting your account - As the name suggests you're requesting to completely delete your account permanently forever.
(All the data is erased)

Chats will still be shown to the users whom you interacted with but they will not show your name anymore, they will just say 'Instagrammer'.
 
delete its a complete delete of your profile, the profile no more existe, and deactivate its like "paused", whenever you want your account again, you just activate the account and the photos are not lost.
 
i just post there and they deleted my account no email or anything.

Delete is gone for good.
Deactivate means is disappeared but you can login anytime and get it back as before. :)
 
Deleting an account will erase all your data and information you have on Instagram.
Deactivating an account will hide your all data and nobody can find you, the chats will be shown to others name with an unknown user.
When you activate your Instagram account, you can restore all your data and information you had.
 
If You delete your IG account it will automatically delete you data and in case of deactivating no date will be erase
 
Hi bro, there is naturally a difference between dearecriation or simple deletion, it is better to do dearecriation. Since it is removed from both you and the interlocutor.

If your trying hide anything you think might get you in trouble, ig can reactivate it under pressure from authorities.

Nothing completely gone just not shown but everything kept on file 100%

Most giant companies keep the data for set year's like the police then scrap it.

Hundreds of court cases are solved with lies and shit from closed accounts but info pulled from the authorities .
