Instagram Deactivated My 110k Account

Hey BHW long time lurker.
So yesterday I came home from a long day of work to find instagram deactivated my account for "violating our terms."
They gave me examples "artificially collecting likes, followers or shares, posting repetitive content or repeatedly contacting people for commercial purposes without their consent."

Well non of that is true so I thought I will contact instagram which i left my email for the account that was deleted.
I got an email and was requested to reply to that email by write a code on a piece of paper with my name and insta account and taking a picture of me and the card together on a jpg. I explained in this email that it was a mistake my account is for a community page for supporting LGBT rights.
This was 20 hours ago with no reply. I ask has anyone had a familiar experience and has any advice.
I am worried as i have not went against instagram at all and gained 110,000 followers after working my ASS off for a year straight!

It's just frustrating as I put my life and sole into that account and to have it gone for no reason...

Usually, you get that message when you botted an account.

If you did not bot, don't worry, you'll get your account back and IG will come back to you apologizing for what they did.

You probably did something which triggered their spam detection and well, just got banned. :)

So no worries if you did not bot or did one of the above mentioned.

20 hours is not a long time when it comes to anything Facebook owns. Expect it to be days before you get a reply if at all.
 
It might be their auto detect system did hope fully you get back.
 
You have to ensure you cover your traces once you get to a certain point.

If getting it back is the outcome enable yourself to wait until the flag drops to then make your growth look or be manual... It's the new standard.
 
Did you use some kind of follower exchange hashtags? like #followforfollow etc? Nowadays Instagram is banning account on a large scale using such hashtags. I got my 13 accounts got banned :/

Nope I tagged the correct hahtags for my niche and always reached the top posts of those trends.
I feel someone in my niche or anti-gay users flagged my content. (I have no problem with people hating LGBT that is just how some people are brought up just as I was brought up to think its okay)

I got exactly the same four days ago on one of my accounts as what you describe in OP. I had been manually a bit aggressive with the account, so probably their algo took me as botting. Anyway, I got exactly the same e-mail with the same info. I replied to them with the requested photo and things written on a paper, I didnt explain anything, just wrote that attached to the mail was the requested photo. I got re-activated yesterday after about 90 hours from when I sent the email, and an apology in the email for the inconvenience.
 
Don't worry about it.Had the same last sunday,got reactivated 2 days ago.You will have to wait 3 days tho.

Yeah, I'm sorry to hear that, if you have legit followers who are active and actual people with social media accounts synced to your page, then it would be a huge loss on their end.

I think people in your group might have gotten too many reports by others or to a point where they just got tired and banned it.

My friend's Twitter account got banned because many people reported a single comment he made about the traffic. So yeah.
 
What I noticed is that when these big guys mention phrase "repeated" it might as well be just one case. So you probably have just one you missed.
 
If you're following and unfollow agressively, you could get banned. Just take a day or two off every once in a while and you should be fine.

Annoyingly, I just got this again on one of my other accounts. This account didn't receive any blocks or warnings before. It is phone verified to my actual own phone number. This is getting frustrating. Anyway, I know the drill now, and just wrote them back with the requested photo.
 
I now figured out why I had my two accounts disabled. I only upload my own original photos, but didn't think about and by coincidence uploaded photos to the accounts that I had previously uploaded on other small private accounts that I'm not using anymore and abandoned.

Could you have done the same?
 
You get your account back I did that I just put my name, IG name and code on it with a pic holding the paper. It happened to me and a day or 2 later i got my account back. If not just send an email to instagram saying your account got hacked and i think that works.
 
This is really unfortunate. Let us know if they do decide to give you the account back. Hopefully they will.

You are posting so incredibly much nosense bullshit just to promote your stupid reflink. I fucking hate seeing your posts with no value whatsoever, I hope you get banned. Don't cry about my post not bringing any value, I rarely make posts like this which essentially is as useless as most of your posts, but I just have to let you know how fucking annoying you are.
 
Have you been botting your account at all?

I mean with instagram you can file it as hacked and you'l have a higher chance of getting it back I suppose
 
If you're really innocent, post on Reddit or somewhere with good reach about how Instagram shut down your community LGBT account and must be trying to silence LGBT activists. There'll be so much negative backlash Instagram will fall over themselves apologizing to you and probably give you a lifetime free pass.
