Instagram botting ending badly?

A friend of mine wants to use a bot to push a CPA content locker.
He wants to comment and leave domain on people's posts.

He would have the bots running on proxies he bought anonymously with bitcoin and TOR browser so I guess nobody could really say he was the one... though he owns the CPA network account of the locker.

1. Do you think instagram/facebook would sue him and succeeed for posting each 30 comments a day with 100 accounts?(total 3000 comments a day)

2. Do you think they would sue him if he did this with 1000 accounts (30k comments a day)

I've seen articles on the web of facebook suing spammers for hundred millions etc. I don't know if this is considered spam and if they would even call it that, as multiple account with different proxies that couldn't be traced, couldn't really prove that he himself would be behind it.
 
No, if anything you will have your account(s) terminated.

But, do not waste your time posting links in comments, as they will not appear. You must be sly, and shy.

What do you mean they will not appear? You mean that they will not be clickable or that Instagram doesn't allow .com domains to be posted as comments? My friend wants to post a domain people then type into their browser manually...

He meant Instagram will hide the comment from others. Only your friend will be able to see it but others won't.
 
It's not worth it for IG. It's cheaper and easier for them to just find and ban fake accounts.

Your friend doest need Tor browser to send automated massage to people on Instagram, alot of people do it here
And Facebook has no time for your friend, they already have an AI powered system that detects bots, so the worst Facebook can do is ban your friends account

They wouldn't sue someone for spamming, it must be involved is something else, something like scam
 
Instagram T&S are not enough to sue unless you are doing a fraud.
 
They are not gonna waist time on that, they have the power of the ban :)
 
"Your friend" won't get sued but he won't get any traffic as well. His link won't be clickable. His comments will most likely get shadowbanned. And if they don't, who takes the time to leave Instagram because some random spammy account wants them to type a url in their browser, anyway?
 
I did try once this, it requires a lot of work and resources. The revenue you make out the CPA vs The expenses of running these bots will not be worth in the long run. Eventually all these accounts will get shadow banned and nobody will see the comments you post.
 
You must understand the difference between breaking instagram TOS and breaking your country laws.

Spamming instagram is legal - if they like it or not :D
 
I doubt they will use money or time to sue your friend for that .. Especially if he uses proxy making the connection difficult

That seems way too small for Instagram to go for any pursue. But if he grows 10000x his accounts network, and start selling likes/comments, that can definitely be the case. Like some SMM panels nowadays
