Instagram Bot Newbie 101

I just recently got into Instagram Bot and would like to learn everything about operating a bot, how to not get banned, APIs , benefits of proxies, and all the things a newbie should know about instagram bots... I been trying to find on this forums guidelines and 101s but I have had no luck..can someone point me to the right direction? links?

I bought Mega Bot Instagram yesterday but I'm not to happy about it since it freezes on me...also looking into buying proxies but what is benefit of proxies? I want to invest on things that will actually work..
