just found a lot of people asking from $2000 to $8000 usd for verification.

some of them want you to switch your profile to somewhat like musician (and then turn it back to normal after verification) and telling it takes usually 30-50 days to get it. usually lower price

others tell to get it in few days without modifying profile. usually 6000-8000 $

are they legit ones? paying with paypal can be safe?

Getting verified requires PR with good websites, There is a specific list on what is whitelisted and blacklisted sites on facebook database.
also the price is similar to what you had, if it include those PR Articles.

most of the websites with disclaimer is bad, when you get PR ask the seller before if website has disclaimer or not.

Yes, musicians are currently the easiest to verify due to the increase in the amount of Meta media partnership portals being issued to prospective media companies.

Just like with any digital service that you find online, some providers are legit and some aren't. It's up to you to handle the DD.

Personally, I myself and few other sellers would accept PayPal due to SMM being on its prohibited industries list. As a service provider, it's simply too risky. But utilizing escrow services and middlemen followed by a solid service agreement contract should be enough to protect both the seller and the buyer from any potentially disastrous situations.

I very much doubt anybody is going to accept PayPal as all you have to do is open a dispute and you just got verified for free.

I would more expect crypto as a payment then PayPal to be honest.

in terms of making your account look legit yes that is true as no matter who submits your verification somebody from Instagram will manually look over the account before approving the submission.

for example if your trying to be a musician but your whole page is full of crypto ads then it’s pretty obvious that you are fake and won’t be approved. So I would go with the people who are telling you to put more music posts on your profile.

That's really intriguing. I wasn't aware of such a thing. Where can you see the database? So is it just pointless to use a blacklisted site for verification or will it actually count against you when paired with so-called whitelisted ones?

Basically, you need to be a public figure and back up this claim by actually showing evidence of why you are this public figure or by PR articles from high DA newspapers/magazines.

For musicians it's easy. Why? Because they can create Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, etc. accounts, and upload a bunch of music. Stuff like this.

What I can also see is that it is not necessarily important how famous you are. I know guys with 2k followers playing in a 4th division football team who got the blue tick. I have a friend who is not a famous singer (she is not even having any concerts or anything) with 10k followers who got this blue badge.

But it definitely also depends on agencies, etc. who have access to Facebook/Meta Media portal. It will make things much easier.

I heard that if you could claim that someone was impersonating you on the same platform it would compel them more to give you verification. So in theory what it takes is finding the right places to publish articles somehow + making account(s) impersonating yourself and that would be enough to push it over the edge. Regardless I don't think a sub-$1k verification will ever exist, I've seen YouTube ones priced like that and maybe if you show that to Instagram you can claim that since they already verified you then Instagram should as well

Its really hard to say. What I was thinking about was that in certain niches/industries it should be much easier to get verified due to the amount of scams going on. For example, if you are running a crypto exchange platform, normally they should have a strong interest in verifying you, as there could be fake accounts of you offering crypto scams, etc.

I would agree, but Meta would probably try to avoid verifying crypto entities altogether in the post-FTX fallout. I think they would probably be concerned that verifying them would give them credibility/seem like an endorsement from Meta itself, and they don't want to be blamed for "duping" people into losing money should another bankruptcy or whatever happen. Trust in crypto is in the single digits in the United States now if I recall correctly
