I will tell you exactly what happened.
This past week was opening week of the NHL [Hockey Season]. One of you guys spammed HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of c0ck & d1ck a$$ photos not racy photos - I mean outright closeups of wee-wees going into hoo-hoos and haa-haas and all sorts of other places FOR DAYS. They did it so frequently - all of the real people just left IG for days.
Had they done their 'research' on this industry - they'd have know the primary demo group on IG for this interest area was 18+ women [who don't want your live web cams] and CHILDREN. VERY VERY many children. They'd also know that the entire industry is a very tight-knit fan group and all of the VERY LARGE companies that own hockey teams, their sponsors, partners 'affiliates' and company involved in the industry is 100% family friendly. These were tags that never had a single racy photo or link to PPC site.
After growing tired of reporting the spam to IG - they started complaining the the TRADEMARK COMPANIES whose brand names [aka the teams and other hashtags you didn't bother looking at manually after scrapping] and the league, and IG and sent complaints. Then they all left IG for a few days. During that time, the rest of you, started following and liking the accounts posting the c0ck and d1ck pics - making them so popular - others of you starting scraping their hashtags and using them for your own spam.
Just to be clear - the distribution of pornographic materials to minors is a crime here in the US.
If your photo isn't outright porn, but 'racy' but links to your PPC 'live web cams' [like someone started doing for 2 days after that] - having INTENTIONALLY targeted minors with your 'ads' [by posting them in unrelated hashtags where the target demo was minors] encouraging them to click on links to sites containing pornographic materials - you are also guilty of distributing pornography to minors.
It isn't IG that's 'sensitive' to racy images, changing their spam detection algorithms twelve times a day, creating all these limits - it's THE PEOPLE YOU ARE SPAMMING that are [not sensitive] BUT FURIOUS about you DISTRIBUTING PORNOGRAPHY TO THEIR CHILDREN. IG wasn't responding fast enough to get your PORN [and other spam] in these hash tags down when we reported it to them - so they reported it to the people's WHO OWNED the BRAND NAMES you were distributing it to [the hockey teams and the league]. The tags were shut down almost immediately after that.
Apparently IG responds very quickly to multi-billion dollar industries with legal departments. Or when one of those companies owns the largest media conglomerate in the US. Another one owns [or is owned by] the largest communications/media outlet in Canada. Seriously - you have NO IDEA who you pissed off - go to wikipedia, enter in the NHL teams and look at who owns each one and then go look up what each of those companies own. You gave their children PORN- FOR DAYS. During the OPENING WEEKEND. If you think IG shutting down your accounts or hash tags is you're biggest issue - you have no idea.
Whoever is still using the sports team names in those alphabetical lists of the women in bikinis - you need to remove every trademark name, sports related, sports team hash from those photos. They're being reported and your affiliate company you are promoted is being reported to them as the one whose marketing strategy is infringing on their trademark. Louis Vuitton has been contacted as well. Do you think they want your ugly swimsuits in their bran name tag?
