For automating 5 to 10 Instagram accounts, which is better: a real 4G SIM or a mobile proxy?

Depends whether your accounts are targeting in the same country as you. If you can use your own 4G SIM then that is best, it's just a cheaper version of a mobile proxy. But if you want e.g. a US persona then you can't use a foreign SIM that easily.

this all depend on your configuration and activity level of your acounts. Where there are several accounts in use their historie carry more weight compared to the IP addres itself. you should make sure that your actions appear normal.
 
For 5–10 Instagram accounts, I recommend mobile proxies. They are more scalable easier to manage and you can assign a separate IP to each account. A real 4G SIM works too but its less practical if you are handling multiple accounts.
 
For 5-10 accounts either can work if used properly. A good quality mobile proxy is usually easier to manage while real 4G sim can offer stable and dedicated connections. The important part is keeping account activity natural and avoiding sudden spikes.
 
Mobile proxies remain a superior and much more cost-effective option compared to maintaining a physical 4G SIM across multiple phones.

If reliability matters more than cost I'd choose a real 4G SIM. It gives each account a more consistent network identity, which can be worth the extra effort.
 
For 5-10 accounts, the main thing will be to maintain the naturalness of the actions rather than paying attention to the type of connection. The majority of issues arise due to the same actions rather than the IP address
 
If you are going automate 5-10 accounts, the safest approach would be to isolate each account with its own device and proxy, always a 1:1 ratio.
 
Mobile proxies are enough for your operation but make sure those are clean IPs.

4G SIMs are relatively more safe, whereas proxies are cheaper. Pick whatever you want.
 
Less maintenance is the biggest advantage spending time creating content is far more valuable than dealing with connection problems.
 
It depends on your setup A real 4G SIM works well for a small number of accounts while a dedicated mobile proxy is usually the better option when managing multiple accounts because it offers greater flexibility and easier scaling
 
Real sim will always be better if you’ve got those on hand, personally though I feel there’s not much difference between high quality mobile proxies though as long as you properly manage your IPs.
