Just to make things clear I'm not trying to sell a service or advertise a product, I'm looking for advice from folks with experience automating Instagram in 2025.
After spending hours coding and educating myself via this forum I've built an Instagram Mass DM bot capable of running multiple accounts, support for proxies, promoting multiple models, multiple threading and incorporated AI to respond to messages. I trained the AI to be flirty/sexual and to share link to my only fans page (for that particular model) once interest has been established. I've also incorporated personalities for each of the models to make each one unique.
I was testing the bot recently (I was yet to acquire proxies) without using a proxy and was able to send dms to accounts that follow/have previously interacted with the test account I was using. However any new accounts that I tried targeting would not receive my dms. I believe the code is okay and think this might have to do with Instagram detecting automation on my test account and shadow banning it from sending dms.
I'm trying to understand if this was because I did not use a proxy or what the reason might've been. I've incorporated randomised delays between each DM to mimic a real person using the platform. I do however have the following questions:
1)Initially I figured having a proxy assigned to each account made sense because normally users login from the same IP, however after researching, some folks recommended rotating proxies. This did not make sense to me because why would a real/genuine user login from say 5 different IPs in the same day?
2)I also read about emulating phones and running accounts via these phones, this can be done by owning multiple phones or using a platform that provides such a service such as sharing tools. This approach is rather expensive and I was wondering if it would be cheaper to just run them through a normal browser (chrome) and let the bot burn through accounts which I'm happy to do provided I can at least get a week of usage. (All the accounts I intend to use to send these dms are dispensable aged accounts with 0-100 followers so they don't cost too much).
3)Does anyone know of any good affordable providers for Instagram Accounts and Proxies. Also do I really need a proxy assigned to each account or would sharing a residential proxy between 3 accounts make more sense? Or would you recommend a different approach.
4)Lastly, Despite having a good bot and approach I'm struggling to find any models/only fans management agencies to work with so I'm having a hard time figuring out how to monetise this. I have 0 background/knowledge about coding so I literally had to learn from scratch and pull my hair out building this so I would really appreciate some advice.
