For the past month i been learning growth hacking or Instagram automations in order to manage and grow multiple client accounts on Instagram. The automation tool / provider i'm using was selected based on reviews from sources i trust and because of the active Telegram community and support for the tool. Support is essential for beginners like me.

I started with one IG account [~6 months old, 47 existing posts, 460 followers] using an engagement strategy on the tool: story views, story likes, story answers [polls, quizzes, etc] and post likes.

I chose 47 targets [similar IG accounts, followers, followings, Hashtags, etc] for my scrapers to collect data from before my main account would then use this data [collected users] to engage with.

Within the first 24 hours of running the tool i had gained 47 new followers for a total of 507 followers.

All things being equal, i did not post to the account or do anything other than let the tool run over that 24hr period.

From this point, growth stalled almost immediately after that first 24hr period and i havent been able to replicate this initial single day growth [~10%]. However the account has continued growing and seeing better engagememt.

I've tried resting the account / tool for 72hrs in case i had been flag or action blocked.. And later in my testing i halted for 5 days,
I've also posted 5 times and experimented with settings by eliminating mass actions like story views and story likes. .

3 weeks later and the account has 540 followers and better engagement on all posts. however it was not a smooth 3 weeks as indicated above [<user error] and i'm certain follower growth can improve

Going forward, i will be keeping close track of any and all inputs for my own benefit and to share as i make future updates to my journey.

Testing this week:

- Adding new aged accounts ~8yrs old

- 4G or residential proxy

- warmup process - for new [aged] account, to build trust score and ultimately allow the account to carry out a high number of actions / reactions everyday without problems, AKA run and grow smoothly on the tool.

Testing this Month:

- Mother / Child method

- Chat bots for comments & DMs

Yea that’s sounds. I’m guessing the reason why you saw a lot of growth the first day was because Instagram allows you to follow a larger number of people starting off. However, if you then try to follow the same amount of people in the coming days, they suspect that as suspicious activity and most likely action blocked your account. Normally, the action blocks get resolved after 3 weeks.

Can you share what automation tools you use mate?

Can you share what automation tools you use mate?
Good point. It also depends on what automation tool you’re using too. For example, if you’re using API, then there is a higher chance instagram can detect suspicious activity since people who code API bots are trying to reverse engineer the actions on a real device. If your using a real device to do the actions, they are considered more safer because it’s more natural since it’s done through an actual Instagram application.

Thanks for the feedback, the first day settings were mass story actions: answer, quiz, sliders, polls, and story views + story likes.. week 2 i tried follows - 15 / day and youre correct, the account was action blocked which led to me resting the account and changing this setting as it seemed i did not have the trust score to use a Follow/unfollow strategy. This is one reason i'm starting fresh with new aged accounts and focusing on warmup, proxies, etc..

Good insight. i started with API and now i'm using RPA [Real Phone Automations].

Sounds good. But the followers you gain are like “follow x follow”? Many people used to follow you and after few days unfollow you.

Anyways, very interesting your journey. Good luck

its called Sharingtools. I'm now using one of their RPA packages [real phone automation] but i started with an API package. Another tool i've heard good things about is Susocial so i suggest you do your own research as i'm a newbie and you may find there are better tools available.

i wasn't using a follow strategy in the beginning but eventually did test this but my trust score was too low for it to run smoothly long term... this is a good way to grow as i've tested this manually with another account..

UPDATE #1
Today i'm launching up to 4 new IG accounts on the tool [sharingtools] using real phone automation [RPA].
i plan to use / test a mobile proxy since i understand i can manage upto 10 accounts safely on a mobile 4G proxy [USA]. This will be ideal for the M/C strategy assuming i have 1 mother and upto to 9 child accounts on that one proxy. Will also test residential proxies for other accounts.

I'm using aged accounts from around 2015 and will be testing a warmup process for each of the 4 accounts with slight variances to each warmup. Warm up will be key to build trust score so that i can eventually run many actions including follow / unfollow.

One warmup process i plan to test looks like this [provided by BHW in post topic 'managing 30 IG accounts']:

  • Use static IP (Residential proxies). (2x accounts per proxy)
  • Don't do anything for 3-7 days. (Let them sit on it or pre-warm)
  • Update them on the 8th-10th day. (No campaigns or postings)
  • Start campaigns or postings. (*Soft actions moving forward)

*Soft actions (like, comment, and view) (Except follow/unfollow/dm)

Of the 4 pages i'm creating, one will be M/C and the other 3 will be niche pages. I chose to do niche pages because they're an asset when done correctly since they can be used for promotions if / when they grow in size + engagement.
Additionally, niche pages are easier to build especially with the tool i'm using. This is because the tool has a feature called "RePost Pro", which will grab content [posts or reels] based on my filters from either tiktok or IG. The tool will then meta wipe the original content and remove any watermark before reposting on my page.

My work will revolve around sourcing good pages / content for the themes i choose along with good targets [IG users / potential new followers] for my account to pursue and engage with via actions [like, views, comments, follow, etc].
Both content & targets are very important after solid proxy and account warmup / trust score.

Today, i'm trying to determine exactly what niche pages i want to build and why - which niche will provide good content for my goal / attract the audience demographics i'm seeking [male, USA / developed countries, disposable income, etc].

Background info:
My business partner and i own two OF agencies [one agency is branded / focused on our tier 1 clients [6 figures / month] & the other tier 2 [5 figures / month]. We only work with highly motivated models who fit into one of these 2 categories. . .
The reason we're shifting our attention to learning a new tool / platform [IG automation] is so that we can manage this system in-house in order to not just reduce costs but also manage quality control. Additionally we want to implement a Step-Mother / Child strategy where we don't expose the models existing large IG account to additional risks such as 3rd party tools, API, or IG manager risk. A "step-mother" is the new main account that we create for the model, for the child accounts to send traffic to.. This step-mother is designed to be a backup account that grows to the same size as her main, if not larger.. Another reason we're focused on building a 2nd main account / back-ups for our clients is because we see IG / Meta's compliance growing stricter with their constant investments in Ai / account monitoring.. we've seen models receive warnings for what most would consider SFW and because we can't completely hedge this risk with SFW content, we've decided to hedge it with insurance in the form of another large revenue generating account.

One way we plan to do this is by scraping the existing followers from her main account, which we've accomplished for one model's verified account [350k+ followers] using a site / tool called GiveMeData. We then plan to use these user ID as targets along with other similar targets for her new back-up [step-mother] and child accounts to engage with actions.

We may offer incentive for followers to follow the new account / step-mother in order to help expedite results. We can manage communications, engagement and promised incentive [free content] with the auto DMs feature included with our tool - this will send a welcome message and / or reply to DMs using chatGPT 4 [in one of these DMs we can include the free content / incentive]. Auto DM can also be prompted to deliver a CTA after so many DMs ["hey love, i prefer to chat @ [or OF]"

More updates to come. . .

Hey that sounds good. Just make sure that the repost tool you’re using is not API based. Instagram can detect when someone is using API to repost and won’t allow the accounts to get as much reach as posts that are done by hand.

Yes, this seems to be the consensus among the pros - API & IG don't work well together, at least it's much more challenging than before. Appreciate your feedback on my posts, do you work on IG automation or related field? Any systems or studies you would recommend? Thanks again!

I often get locked out of my ig account when I first set it up. Do you have any solution for that problem?
