Instagram API getting strict

I keep hearing about instagram getting very strict and is now blocking access to user data. So does this affect FollowLiker. How could their software still be working.

Most of the noise is about the public API, which will have no effect for the average user/bots. No need to worry.

I would worry tho. Instagram is getting more strict. I noticed my accounts get blocks for a few weeks once they hit 10k. Not sure if it is just me.
 
Maybe it's because government is getting strict against user data leak ? i saw a video where few people are having questions with mark zuckerberg regarding the user data leak and giving user details to other organisations. maybe they are changing their system.

But other have script to complete verification.. from server side.. I don't warry about got gorvment policy...

Public API? There's more than one? How does one get access to the non-public api?

A mobile app needs an API to communicate with the server.

When you use Instagram app, it uses a private API behind the scenes to make the app work. There's also a public API with which you can do certain things that Instagram deems fine. Instagram is tightening up that. public API.

However if you want to create a bot, you'd want to emulate the behavior of a real Instagram user to avoid quick ban and so you'd use the private API just like the official app does. Instagram can try to detect bots using its private API but it cannot tighten the private API too much because the official app uses it.
