Instagram and google entity

I am starting to realize instagram can influence the business map for google. Anyone have a strategy or seen a previous post on this? I will be looking around this website and the internet on how be startegize this.

I found a business killing it with this strategy and want to implement it on some sort of scale. Basically how instagram builds a identiy for the buisness map or how they help each other.

Are you saying that when you make an Instagram search for a location, that the google maps start showing you spots based off of your search?

Interesting take. Can you explain a bit more what you mean exactly? Are you talking about Instagram affecting Google Business Profile visibility, branded searches or local map rankings? Curious how you’ve seen them connect.

Late reply on this. I have been doing it my self now but learned this from a competitor of a guy I did some SEO for. They only had a instagram connected to the profile. The SEO i could see looked very whitehat on the website. The instagram account seem like part of a larger organizational unit that is working together. And they use a branding company.

the google reviews manipulated on the google business profiles.... the fake ones matched the same verbiage on the instagram profile. There is probabaly some other manipulation behind the scenes but the verbiage btw GMB reviews and instagram matched, The AI seen it this way and the business had a high map ranking for being in business short amount time.

**The instagram account has crazy high amount of engagement, crosspost and etc that is looks highly unnatural** and as i have not said this.
When a real customer goes there, they get pissed and some have left reviews.

Yes,

It seems to be improving their map rankings. On top of that they have been opened for over 6-9 months but keep adding "we just opened" or "new business" post so they keep showing up on newly opened longer than they should be. We are on this entity swing so the instagram account I think is heavily reinforcing branding and pushing ideas to google to effect how it views the brand.

I can only see the front end of course, they also could be running 100s of links to the profile or something else weird. Since I have posted this, the brand has dropped out of the number 1 spot. Also a few bystanders or competitors physically went to the place again and called their BS.

It is still incredible to me a new * business was able to maintain #1 with a great scheme from the time or before they even opened the door. they most likely will stay in the top 5, if this SEO keeps it up unless they get a penalty

The instagram account for social profiles seem to have the greatest pull on the website, so if you match intent and the instagram is doing well, it helps with branding and ranking. Peered with the other signals

Absolutely this can increase the local seo ranking. Any clicks or actions on the Google business location improves the ranking. This would work best with local based ig pages (for example a used car dealership based in Boston MA, it posts new arrivals and what cars it has available, in the bio they have their own site and it has a link to their business location to which the viewer can drive, check their reviews etc.).
