yeah at the beginning it was just hash tagging, liking peoples pictures. I was very new to it but I happened to be in a niche that didn't have much in the way of what I was putting out. When I realized that the better content would get me reposted then that is what I started to do and I got noticed by bigger accounts because of good original content which helped me grow pretty rapidly at the beginning. Never paid for shoutouts but have done a few reciprocal ones with people in my niche.
Early stages I used the iMacro for Iconsquare to like pictures within my niche but then as I grew I got worried so I just stayed white hat with it.
