In my experience the engagement drop is unrelated to bots. I have two accounts around 4k and only one is botted but both suffer the same problem. Another account I used to test various FL settings was banned when I pushed too much, I learnt to take it slowly and not to rush. Results will eventually come.
 
How does changing the algorithm = less likes on an established account. Can someone explain this to me in good English?
 
i hope it doesn't end up like facebook. F U Mark Zuckerberg.

It's simple. The changes in the algorithm makes your post NOT reach all of your fans. The posts won't show up on their feed, so unless they're really engaged to your account to look it up manually and open your profile, they'll probably miss some of your updates. Same goes for Facebook, check some of the pages you like and see how many posts you've missed that you never saw on your news feed, it's because of the algorithm.
 
I have 36k followers, and I'm getting 400-600 likes per photo, posting once per day.. It's very low, and it sucks :(
My IG account is for my store, my niche is clothes and female looks.. I'm from Brazil..

Did you have a higher engagement before?

That's interesting! So are you saying that not all photos show up in order? Can that be true? Because before... photos would just show up in whatever order people posted them.
 
I've noticed that I'm getting WAY LESS followers using followliker too. I used to get about 100 per day, and now It's like 30 every 3 days. Can someone explain (or guess) why this is happening?
 
At the moment it has nothing to do with reducing the appearance of your posts to your followers. you get a certain % of likes from non-followers..they would have seen your photos in the explore tab one way or the other. Instagram has reduced the frequency in which your photos appear to non-followers. This has caused the ratio to drop.

I'm sorry but you guys are all wrong about natural or auto like programs. The reason you get fake followers in instagram or less interactions is because if u use a bot u tend to get other bots to follow u back and attack active people so u will never have the real likes u want, using bots will help u get off the grow and look bigger page follow pages that have alot of followers much easier and real followers in the begging may like all your photos and that will be great but after some months u will lose those likes because people lose interest in instagram and don't log in as much so ur always going to have to keep gaining more and more followers and get the new user's.

If u make a fan page it's best to do sfs with other page's ones u gain 10k plus or pay other top pages to help u get real followers. I've been doing ig since day one and have left and came back just like a real user does. I have a couple ig that grew naturally and some that where forced by bots or spamming users with sfs with other page's. Best bet is grow one page use it to eventually do sfs with other page's and have them follow a page that u will never use bots with or do sfs with.

lol the very first post and you say that everyone in here is wrong? there are so many people with big pages who have grown organically and they have experienced the same thing. explain me why on my account, when I had approximately 5k followers, in a matter of 2-3 days likes dropped by 100-150? whatever you said is also wrong, since when you grow organically, your page will still attract fake followers and bots. but when you're using a bot, it's a matter of a right setup to get the appropriate active audience

That is true mate! I use to have 50% likes from non-folowers (explorer tab) now I have 25%.

So you know, just having likes from your fanbase is not gonna get you to big interaction rate :__(

I agree with you point of view Loshara... It's matter of how you set it.
 
Definitely something happened for sure. I have an account that was naturally grown to over 213K followers. When I had about 150K followers I was averaging about 4500 - 5K likes a picture. A really good picture would hit 6K likes sometimes.

Right now with 213K followers my average hit is about 3700-4000 likes a picture and on a rare occasion if there is a lot of engagement on a picture I will hit 5K. I can easily look through my pictures and see when it happened and I am sure everyone had the drop off about the same time.

I have never used a bot on this account from day 1 and built it up over 3 years. I still grow about 900 new users a day. Yes I am sure there are some fake accounts that come from bots, but the truth is, on one day it was something and the next day everything changed and it's obvious.
