Gary is an investor in Facebook, Snapchat, Venmo, Uber & More.
He's also the CEO of V@yner media , V@yner sports, etc.
He works with big companies like: c0ca cola, etc.
He has 6+Mil Instagram Followers & Gets around 1-3Mil views on igTV,
with 100k-1Mil views on his page.

He doesn't have anything to pitch, he doesn't try to sell you anything, other than realizing your own potential. He helps the little guys, so the big guys come to him with business offers (after realizing he knows what he's doing)

He's got thousands of videos, with pure - free - advice on internet marketing & sales.
(posted via. YouTube / podcasts)

Clearly he's doing something right, right?

Here's his insight on the Instagram algorithm, and how to take advantage of it.
He just posted this within 24 hours ago!

His advice should be used for manual growth to grow a REAL brand (main account), but I'm sure it'll also work for non-manual growth (promotional accs)

I figured this will be very useful with all the people being shut down from automation attempts.
If you can't (or can) automate, this could help your perspective & business plans alot, and since it's the weekend - it's the easiest time to start a real brand, everyone's bored & waiting for your quality content!
(if you've been relying on automation!)

Because organic reach, is the future!
I started a new account 6 months ago & it's pushing 15k already and I get 40-100% organic reach, with about 10-20% engagement, and 5-10% comments

I'm also working on another 2 accounts to hit 10k.
So within 3 Accounts, I'll be reaching 15-30k+ people per posting round.

A lot of people here don't like Gary Vee. Mainly because of his thesis on follow and unfollow.

I listen to a lot of his stuff because I love business talk in general.

One thing I heard him say the other day on a podcast was he told somebody they need to be posting 3-times a day.

While I know Gary owns some of Facebook and knows Zuck, I think he maybe onto something. The algo favors people who spend more time on the platform.

So now I'm curious. How often are you posting on your accounts?

Yeah him shitting on your whole strategy could be offensive.
But is f/unf necessary?
All his advice explains in detail how to gain without taking advantage of the system.
Which is definitely a good support beam

& 3 times per day is perfect if you wake up early / etc.
Downside short term is it'll lower your algorithm while the AI becomes accustomed to the posting frequency and content
Upside long term, is you'll See your weekly reach / impressions explode

Personally, I prefer to post 1 time every day or two to maximize my engagement on specific posts, sometimes I'll bump up to 3, maybe 9, always testing

Edit: but I'll notice a 25-50% increase in my stats , or waaayy more if I'm pushing lots of posts like he mentions. The key is to test around

Not bad - but depends on the type of profile and business you are promoting right?

For example if you have a photography page, how sustainable can posting 3x per day or even just 1x per day be? Unless you have years and years of content to share, you will out share at the rate you can produce right?

Unless you share different types of content (which he talks about) - but is that the right approach? It's going against the grain of what you can find on instagram today (high quality 10/10 photos) which is more of like a portfolio.
If you start to include b-roll or behind the scenes, etc does it degrade your image in the long run?

Quantity is good, but what's the acceptable level of quality? Risky to test right?

He doesn't have anything to pitch, he doesn't try to sell you anything, other than realizing your own potential.
wrong. he is selling himself to big companies to get them to hire him. just because he has 6 million followers is he good -- no. I know others with 10-20 million that runs circles around him. BTW - I got only 4 million total followers. What I am trying to say is don't believe everything you see or read. Organic reach will doom most here without shoutouts or other promotional items as Instqa becomes more like facebook --

What I would do if I ran out of content is do what instagram does on @ Instagram.

They just share "cool" content and tag the owner.

So if it's photography, I'd begin posting my own + other people's photography!

Depending on my inventory, me on weekends - other people during the week, while I tag them in the caption

That's how you can win off other people's work. But you need to atleast tag them, plus I've noticed when you tag multiple high authority accounts who are relevant, it helps your post reach more people

& When it comes to behind the scenes, etc. I would put those in my stories/highlights

Companies can't hire Gary. Gary isn't forsale. He makes it known In client meetings that they get his team, not him specifically. But ofc he'd be there when need be

& If you have 4mil followers and think you're doomed if instagram becomes Facebook, good thing I don't believe everything I hear ;)

20mil is nice,
But do they have $20mil?
If not, that's not running laps around him lol.
I see your point and agree in partial, but I'd say there's more to it

Let me see, Gary invests in Facebook. FB owns Instagram. Gary personally knows Zuk. Boy, I wonder if they’ll give Gary free access on Instagram and a better reach.
Nah, Zuk wouldn’t do that for a friend and investor.
Move on guys.

That doesn't discount his advice

His advice is over the top.
What you need to do to grow organically in Instagram is post what your followers want and optimize your posts to what they want.

Easy, right? What I just wrote is full of bull and what every agency tells their clients. Sounds smart, amazing, yet means nothing.

Gary said to post lots of content, whether you think they'll like it or not. Because odds are, someone wants to see what you have to offer.

So it's about pushing tons of content, and strategizing around what works best.

How do you expect to succeed with testing alot?

Michael Jordan has a record everybody forgets. "The most missed shots"

If you own a reputable account for a reputable brand or person, go ahead and post 3-9 times a day, and just post whatever until you see what your audience likes.

Try it. That’s why the big brands, big personal accounts all do just what Gary says. Not!

Or, if you own a store, go ahead and fill it up with just about everything that you can sell, and then see what’s left over, not sold, after 1 month. Smart right? Not!

Nowhere in this thread did we mention 3-9 posts,

I specifically mentioned I do 1 post every 24 to 48 hours to maximize engagements

And when I want to push the limits I'll post 3 times per day, spread out many hours apart

You're taking things at face value & not reading between the lines. Of course, nobody is going to advise you to post anything. I wouldn't post pets, for a restaurant client. Makes no sense - even if engagement is higher. The point is to test around in your niche, which dish does best? Which background does best? Multi pics or single pics? Videos or pics? Pics and videos? You'll never know these answers without posting alot over time, and testing lots of strategies

no, they don't have 20 million, just a few mill in the bank -- with 3-5 employees making bank. Big corporations want the company Gary has because he markets to them, not us -- small business owners such as me. His philosophy does not matter to me when I don't have what he has, the corporation's deep pockets. Hell, if I had his clients I would sell ethics, organic growth that builds loyalty to a brand and other buzzwords of madison avenue. Regarding insta becoming like facebook, where you been the last 3 years -- it already is the same. No offense but this guy sells his company in words to make companies want to hire his. Perception is played all over.

money speaks -- big corporations pay billions per year in advertising -- it was mentioned he works with Coca Cola -- 2.6 million, followers yet billions drink it each year. Am I the only one that says -- coca cola got ripped off? they should be in the hundreds of millions if his words rang true.
Organic growth is good mr. corporation -- pay me millions per year and I assure you more than 1 follower -- organic.
