Instagram Ads

I'm testing a few post ads with Instagram for certain clients. I narrow down the targeting and the posts get many likes, but no followers out of it. Looks like I average around $0.04 per like. The post gets 250-500 likes, but no one follows - nor comments. Clients not liking it obviously.

Any tips? Does anyone else have better results?

I was suggesting to the client to follow those likers and try to get them to engage better, but they don't like that idea.

What is the goal of this campaign?
Maybe mother/child solution would be better if client is only looking for followers

Goal of everything - comments, likes, more followers, but legit. I have a lot of real looking IG accounts, so I can comment, like, follow, but clients want the real stuff, so I turned to IG Ads which are pretty much useless. Been testing for the past month with budgets of $5-20 per post. Combined likes of about 5000 and 0 comments, 0 follows.

It looks like your ads working well in terms of engagement, but low in terms of followers.
Mother/child can help take care of the followers and you’ll have a happy client.

Do you target specific country when promote?

USA.

Makes sense. Will have to combine different methods.

I am looking for help with my instagram ad too. I am doing it on my own haha...niche is music.
