OK because of daily questions I receive about IG and account management I decided to post this thread. I hope it will help some dudes and prevent them from doing first time obvious mistakes, these are not big secrets, just the logical stuff, but many may not be aware of. Please note that my tips are just my beliefs and may not be accurate enough to keep you from being banned on IG, I assume no responsibility whatsoever and its your risk of applying them. If you want to not get banned on IG just read and comply with their terms of service page on their site. Also if someone else knows better please contribute to this thread if you want and I can also update it with what may be better information, but please refrain from bashing my helping intention. Here you go.. I would like to start with an introductory: One of the things I get asked many times is why you need proxies when running multiple accounts, as people when going into a club they log onto the same wifi IP on hundreds of accounts in the same time. Well I wish it was that easy.. but here's why its not: When you want to automate with multiple accounts most than likely you're going to use the same type of accounts and log them on the same bot. People in a club has various devices, with different OS's and screen resolution, many customized things in their devices, and all their accs were not from a batch made in the same day. IG can easily track alot of information about the accs and the environment the accs are running on because everything goes through their servers - making a pattern out of it and auto-banning all suspicious login/actions its piece of cake for them. I hope this clears all this out. ACC CREATION: - When using a desktop: You can use the desktop registration page that shows up from various browsers/IP's (don't ask me which are those, its not something constant). At the privacy settings of your browser set everything so it won't keep track of any data, use ccleaner between sessions, use proxifier for windows if you're going to create from proxies, or just change your home router IP. Same IP can be used for every 1-3 accs. - When using mobile phone or tablets: Preferably is to use a rooted android phone/tablet or android emulator on PC - Install xprivacy, proxydroid and device id changer from google play. Use xprivacy to block some trackings of the IG app like Identification, %imei, %macaddr, %serialno, Cast.getDeviceId, SERIAL, Location, Media, Network, Phone, Sensors, and System. Use proxydroid for placing your proxy before installing and connecting to the IG app (you can also use mobile data connection instead of proxies and proxydroid, every connection comes with a new IP). Use device id changer to change the android id (even if its set to not be tracked in xprivacy). If you can't root the device you can factory reset your device and check if the android id has changed after, you still need to change the IP, this will help you create a bunch of accs but not endlessly. - Bots: I'm not familiar with acc creation modules of various bots on the market but, the general idea when making mass accounts is to keep every piece of info (that you have the option to add before creation) as much as diversified as possible. LOGIN / EDITING PROFILE DATA / UPLOADING TO FEED: You can follow the same settings as above only this time you'll just login, and don't forget to clear/reset everything, change IP/proxy between logins. At login you may get a few security windows like enter captcha; was this you?; phone verify; password reset (and you'll need the email or phone in the acc profile), all these are triggered by what IG believes is suspicious activity, in most of the cases it happens when the account is logged from another IP location. You'll just have to follow the on-screen procedures to login into the account. Now when it comes to editing the profile and uploading material to feed you should consider the next tips: For profile data edit: Avoid using words that may be flagged by IG, these can be crack, hack, cheat and so on - flagged phrases could be an issue too. Avoid placing identical info on profiles of many accounts, especially in a short time - you can either vary the texts or wait some more time between a maximum number of updated accounts per day. Placing links in the website field: Most of the time people want to promote one lading page with tens or hundreds of accounts. Placing the same link for too many accounts may raise a big flag and all the accs can be linked together and hit with either pass reset, phone verify or ban. Unless you know advanced cloaking techniques, the simple solution is to spread different links to many accs - like using one unique link/domain for 5 accs. Please note that multiple url shorteners pointing straight to your landing page is not a solution because IG can crawl these to the final destination page. Also, IG flags the root domain, so simply using subdomains or subdirectories is not a solution either. Uploading photos or videos to feed: Again, in most of the cases as people want to promote one product/landing page they will have one set of pictures and captions that they want to use. Using the same pictures and captions in many IG accs is another reason why you may get into troubles. The simple solution is to randomize all this data between every IG acc by various means like: file names, metadata and media resolution. Batchpurifier and Ron's renamer are som free software that can help you with that. If you're into watermarking pictures then photobulk can be of great help, it also includes image optimizer, resizer and renamer. Also make sure you keep a slow pace of number of media uploaded, especially in the first days of posting, you can later increase the rate. ACTIONS / BOTTING: Here comes the most interesting part.. making sure to not leave footprints at login and updating profiles of many accounts its one story, using the accounts on automated tasks is another one, and the most risky part. There are many ways IG accs can be used. They can be set to mass follow/like/post media/comment or all these combined. Every type of action relates on how you want to target your audience. There is not a standard formula that can guarantee the best results because it always depends on the niche used, on the acc quality and also on the bot / automation service. Also there is more than that.. everyday I see people asking how many users I can follow per day.. well this is the wrong question, and that is because IG uses anti-spam algos than combine multiple data. For example I can follow 1k+ daily everyday with my personal account on my phone because I'm using it manually and IG knows that. If you try following 1k users using a bot and a fresh account it may not reach the second day. Don't ask me why, this is inside the IG algos. Of course there are exceptions to all this, there are people who successful bot accs for months with very high actions, for me at least these cases are a mistery atm. But, as I had a period of success in automating IG using public bots, I can leave a few tips on how to start automation safely, and these can apply to both fresh or aged accs, later it strictly depends on your method and if IG catch you with spamming or not. After login / updating the profile you can make about 10-20 actions at max then let the acc to rest for 24h. In the next few days you can start warming up the acc with a max of 50 actions/day, you can also increase them progressively by 50/day until you reach the desired max values. You can also start fully botting with the acc in the third day, but I noticed the longer the warm-up period the better for the acc. For people wondering about my settings: When the warm-up period was completed I didn't set more than 450 follows/day or more than 1k likes/day, if I were to combine following and liking I lowered both actions to about -40%. The delays I used were set to make sure all actions are spread in about 10-12 hours max, so the accs would rest the other part of the day. For unfollowing I go with 100 below the follow rate, and only after 24h of acc rest. Eye opening: Automation and plain spam will not keep the accounts forever, maybe a few months if you're really lucky. For an account to last forever it should never be placed on a proxy and on a bot to be automated. PS: Its another thing if you just want to spam for a while then recreate your setup while maintaining a good ROI.
