Instagram account creation issues

I just want to gather some impressions here:

Starting 2 days ago I'm only seeing "The IP address you are using has been flagged as an open proxy" on all of my private IPs (over 1k).
Was working fine for months till that date.
I even went ahead and tried to create an account from my smart phone from my home connection with the same result and I'm sure my home ip has never created an IG account.

Seems strange to me, did somebody else experience the same thing or is it just me?

"We are banning massive amounts of ip that uses bots like instafirebot and instaget. We will add phone verification on Friday when creating accounts."
