Instagram account ban

My new instagram account got banned after 3 days. In that time I followed 9 people, uploaded 3 images, left 2 comments, liked 1 story, and watched about 30 stories. I verified my email, my phone number, now they want to me to record a video of myself... at this point it's just ridiculous. It's not like I'm trying to open a bank account here... The account is of an AI model that I was going to grow into an influencer. I look nothing like the model, so I'm prety sure sending them a video of myself is not gonna work..

What does this mean? Is that account gone forever? Does that mean that I won't be able to use that phone to create/manage other instagram accounts withount getting automatically blocked?

It's quite strange to tell you this, and I don't know if it's just me.

But I recommend you create the account first on Facebook.

Create it on Facebook, do the same, put a profile photo, add some comments, add people, and then, create the Instagram one by linking it to the Facebook one.

I'm telling you this because a couple of months ago I needed many Instagram accounts for a project, and I couldn't believe it, I couldn't create even one, because I had exactly that same problem that you say.

Instagram is really stupid, for the things you are tell me, it is not a bank account!
 
Yes, that's right, if after verifying the photo they did not return it to you, you lost that account. I recommend that you create a new one and leave it for about 1 week without using it and then start using it.

You don't think that will be an issue? As far as I can remember according to their TOS you're only allowed to have 1 Facebook account, I don't know what's the limit on Instagram, but I have been running 5 accounts on the same phone for years with no issues.
 
It looks like your account is banned due to any suspicious activity. You need to revisit the case that what did went wrong and why are they asking for identity verification. If you are unable to get your account back, wait for a few days before creating a new one on the same device.
 
Your account unfortunately has been banned. The way these people suspect activities these days has been taken to another. In the interim, I will suggest you create a new account entirely but take your time to do this.
 
I recovered my account using the appeal forms. Sent 4-5 mugshots and it took about 4 months for them to reactivate my account.
If you haven't posted pornography and if you haven't posted copyrighted material, you can most likely recover your account, but it might take months.

You got banned for Impersonation most likely.

bro could i speak to you regarding an instagram account ban. You said you have someone who charges to get the account unbanned.

I have more than one account of myself on Facebook and never had one issue. Also I have multiple accounts on Instagram that are not even me, just a picture of a nft ape and 1 post and I have had that account open for years. I still use that account every single day as a burner account so I’m really active on it. I also use the account to run tests and social media services on it. Never ever had an issue.

The request for a video verification is standard procedure to confirm the account holder's identity and prevent spam or misuse. If you can't provide a video that matches the profile, it's possible the account could remain banned. As for using the samephone, Instagram may associate it with the banned account,potentially leading to future restrictions

You can try contacting Meta support. If it still doesn't work, I recommend you create a new account for a week and start posting articles.
