Instagram "about your account" section and verification

So for a while Instagram's been telling me that on the 27th of september, they will make my "about your account" section public for people to see.

So today, they sent me a message the information is available for users.

For those of you who don't know what it is, this is the information I get when I go to settings-About your account -
"We're showing information about accounts that reach a lot of people to protect accounts like yours from impersonation and to protect our community from Spam.
People can see this by tapping on the *** on your profile and choosing "about this account""

Country:
Former usernames:
Accounts with shared followers

Now, a lot of people talked lately about the getting verified option. strangely enough, I have this section because they say my profile reach a lot of people, but NO VERIFICATION OPTION.

Now I wonder, why not? why I cannot apply for verification?

Would like for some clarifications if anybody knows.

P.S - I also had a big drop in followers today, and I guess many have seen this.
The reason is probably a big update today - I guess they kept telling my about this date
for a reason.
