I saw this video today and was speechless. It was posted on the 14th by an account with one video. I saw it on the homepage with over 7.2 million views. Here's the link while I continue how to scratch my head and figure out how the heck this was accomplished. Link extension: /watch?v=PUKMUZ4tlJg Just a share. Anyone have any idea how this was done? Over 7 Million views plus Popular page in a day!

With the right method it is possible. Maybe whoever has it is keeping it to themselves.

You are another YouTube marketer, who instead of being fascinated by the 'Devil Baby', were traumatized by seeing the 'Channel/Video Stats'.:17:

On topic :- This could be reason - Devil_Baby.jpg

It went viral because it was clever - "sharing" and "viral" isn't something you can fake.

Brands see a huge benefit from it - so as we move on "funny dog licking his balls" isn't going to go viral as much because companies now hire production teams and writers to make the magic happen.

To make the viral magic happen, you'll have to think the clever, offbeat way they do in the GEICO commercials. As in "Huh? or Hey, haven't seen or heard of that before." "Here's the ugly baby pics of some of today's most gorgeous stars." Or, "Here's an ugly crone, but here's a video of how super hot she used to look." A lot depends on having the actual videos or stills, or being able to create them.

With this kind of quality vid.. It will definitely go viral. Look at how they set this thing up and not even thinking the creativity of the vid. They even invest on a machine that will try to prank someone. So there is no other reason why they can't invest on a little push on marketing.

Quality vid + a little marketing = viral

Lol, are you seriously asking this question or are you being sarcastic. Look at the video lol. I didn't even watch it again because as soon as I heard the baby cry I knew what it was. My fiance showed me this video earlier today and she saw it on facebook where she lives by the way lol. It is a funny video and it has gone viral.

Thanks for the great responses everyone, I agree the video had everything needed to go viral, it was hilarious and high quality. I've never seen anything take off that fast and was amazed at the amount of traction it got so quickly. Good job on their part. Just didn't know if anyone had any insight into the posters methods, be it tons of backlinks, other authority accounts to promote from, used a service or if this could have possibly been all organic. Anyways, thanks again!
