Insane Offline Marketing Idea

Ok so I was reading through a lot of these posts and had a good Idea I wanted to share with everyone in hopes that someone tries it and lets me know how it works (Wish i had the time for it now) Anyway, here's the idea.

Step 1: Sign up with some CPA offer for a dating site that pays for email signups, the easier the signup the better, obviously the more the payout the better.

Step 2: Using a font that looks like handwriting (has to really really look like handwriting) write something like this:

"Hey! I just saw you get out of your car as I was walking to mine and thought you were soooo cute. I didn't have the courage to stop and talk to you, but I thought I'd leave this note on the off chance you decided to take a chance and look up a secret admirer. You can contact me and see what I look like at (CPA URL)"

just make sure it looks legit.


Step 3. Then print out a few thousand of these, again, it has to look handwritten. Dont cut them, rip them so it looks like you ripped off a piece of paper and jotted down the note.


Step 4. Go to malls, gyms, or any other big parking lots and place them on all the cars you can!

Step 5. PROFIT!!! haha at least I would hope.


Let me know what you guys think of the idea, and the results if anyone tries it.

Intersting idea, think it'll work nbest in places like new york where there are lots of singles, not here in the south

I think you would be wasting your time unless you went to a "how to lose weight" convention or some kind of low self esteem support group.

I like it, might actually work better on women than men.

Maybe put a twist on it like mentioned above and go to a gym or something with a 'handwritten' note saying 'hey i didnt have the courage to tell you in person but you're really fat, you should check out this weight loss method'.
I think it could really work in a variety of methods.

The only problem I see with this is if you were to go to car parks and "place them on all the cars you can!" then people going to their car are likely to see that every other car in the car park has the same message on it.

The person will either think damn, this girl/guy is a slut and I can't wait to get online and sign up for this site to get a piece first (unlikely), or most likely, they will realise that it is indeed somebody marketing the website and chuck the note on the ground.

This is a nice idea...As my sig states ...I hate working and running around putting notes on windows is damn sure not something I would do...However if you set up like 10 landing pages and got 10 kids to run around doing this and offered cash or cool prize to the kid that gets the most hits/conversions on their landing page. That would be something I would do

As for calling people fat and promoting weight loss product..that one I wouldn't touch...I not only think it wouldn't convert I think someone might get an ass whoopin from a plus sized woman or maybe even a few.

umm, maybe it'd work a little but is this really the best use of your time? I mean doing something online would probably be more effective and you'd look like a total jackass if someone saw you doing this not to mention it could attract the police since its obviously not legit if they saw what you were doing

If you want people to pass out fliers look into getting fraternities to do it, I was in one for a little while and we did this stupid fundraiser that worked out to like less than minium wage for the time we spent but our idiot president organized it and people in frats are generally pretty naive so you can sometimes get them to do this stuff for a low price or just donate beer or something
