Inner page backlink - Does it count?

Hello all,

I am new here and this is my first post. I stumbled upon a high pagerank site and it's main page is PR7. However it got it's inner pages PR0. But after hours of searching I found 5 inner pages in the site having PR5 and I can post my site link in them and the higher shot is they are ******** :D

So does this count as 5 different PR5s or just 1?

And if I get all the 5 links, will my site attain a higher PR? I read around here 1 PR5 link can get my site PR5. How true is that? I am still digging the site and I expect to PR4 and PR6 too :P Let's hope eh :D What happens if I find a PR6 and some PR4 which I add to the 5 PR5 I have found?

No, 1 PR5 link will not make your site a PR5. It's valuable, but multiple links from the same domain become less valuable.
The PR of your site really doesn't matter unless you are selling links. Just worry about where your site ranks for your keywords.
 
Pagerank has become the single most important metric in the third world. Instead of trying to find high PR links, seek out relevant backlinking opportunities. Doing so will help your ranks far more and you may just survive a manual review from a Google employee.
 
Try to use different domains.. same domain will give same backlinks and google can punish you for that.

What would you say is relevant backlinking? from the same niche?
 
yes build backlinks from websites related to your niche and that will help you a lot.
 
If a site links to one of your interior pages (not the home page) then it really has the same effect as if they were to link to your home page. In fact, I prefer to have links to my inner pages rather than just the home page. It will help the inner pages rank better, and since I have good navigation on the site, link "credit" is passed around just fine.

Whether or not the link is a good link or not depends on the other site, whether or not the link is on topic, and what type of link it is, not necessarily where they link to. If it"s a straight text link that"s on topic to your inner page, then that"s a great link to have.
 
Small tip: create category pages which list all pages on your domain belonging to that category. By backlinking the category pages you'll get some decent linkjuice flowing to all of your categorized pages. Internal backlinking can be quite powerful too.
 
They will be counted as PR 5 link. Its a good link which will help you to get a good rank in the SE. that's it.
 
Yes it is count as Pr5 link. PR5 Link are most valuable link count in Google search.
