Just wondering, how long do infractions last?

I received one a few months ago because I created a thread for somebody to help me out and purchase a $3 CB product (I was going to pay them the cost of the product + extra for helping me) and I posted my link. Are infractions permanent or will they be removed after a certain amount of time?

I don't like having one

It can be temporary or permanent.
Mine was permanent which will never expire
