Infraction question

I have an infraction on my account for 'Selling Outside of Marketplace that happened 04/08/12. The story behind this was I was posting on the new blog format on here on how to increase SERPs for websites and videos. Within the blog post I linked to a few sources and one of them was my Fiverr account for backlink creation (which has been down for several years now). I also linked to other Fiverr sources, and several SEO services in the marketplace. (I deleted the blog post a few days after the infraction).

My question is, when/will this infraction be removed? Seeing I have about 5 years as a registered member and a Jr. VIP for several years now.... the 'Never' coming off infraction seems a bit harsh eh? I'm not anywhere close to selling anything on here, or anything that will affect me from having the infraction; it's just a matter of just having it... just seems extensive is all.

If that Infraction says "NEVER" then it will expire "NEVER" ,

Infraction for selling outside marketplace is for lifetime.
 
You may be restricted in posting certain content: may be you'll not be allowed to open any type of sales thread or open a Sig for Rent kind of threads, until the expiry date of the infraction, but not too sure on that.

Although the infraction will remain in your profile, it will not be visible to other members (apart from mods and admins), and your normal post will also not show it. See the red-boxed part in the image:

harsh or no, it's for the mods to decide, calling them out on their decisions publicly 99% of the time doesn't end well, it's a lot better idea to pm the mod who gave it to you, if he or she is still around in the light of that this happened almost 4 years ago and mods come and go since then

on the other hand, why care if you don't want to sell anything? it doesn't affect you in any way, other than if you were to collect more :)
 
OP - it was a warning, not an infraction. When we give out warnings, they're more of a heads-up to remind you of the rules rather than a penalty. They're not visible to any other member and don't prevent you posting in the marketplace or doing anything else that you're able to as a Jr VIP. They're there so we can see if you've been informed of the rules so if the issue is repeated, we can escalate it if appropriate.

However, they're normally put in place for a limited amount of time - anything from a few days to a year. A few years ago they didn't expire in the same way and, as it's been almost 4 years, I've removed it from your account. If members have an infraction or warning on their account that's more than a year or two old, it's worthwhile PM'ing a mod to review it.
