For New Campaigns
If you are launching a new campaign, start small and test. Allocate around $5-$20 per day for each ad set initially. This allows you to gather data without overspending. While the campaign is running, observe vanity metrics like CPC, CTR, and Quality Score, and observe the visitor actions like AddToCart and InitiateCheckout if applicable.
In general, it is advised to keep the ad set running until you get 100-150 clicks. If you spend and get 150-200 clicks and still do not see any conversions, pause the ad set. Make changes to the targeting, ad copy, creative, and landing page, then launch again.
Once you start seeing results, increase the ad budget gradually in increments of $20-$50.
For Campaigns with High Daily Budgets
Since the campaign is already working, focus on increasing the ad budget gradually. For example, if you are spending $1000 per day, increase to $1250, let it run for a couple of days, then increase again to $1500.It is also advisable to scale horizontally, meaning launching a new ad set with different interest targeting that is closely related to what you have been using in the successful ad set.
