Looking for some advice. I am in the process of buying some established high traffic blogs that get most of their traffic from Google News. They are bringing in 80-100k in vistors monthly and right now most of their revenue is coming from Google Adsense. I was thinking of integrating infolinks into the text of the blog to monetize on that. Anyone have any data or tested this out?

yes, and it works like a charm. How do you do it, getting that much traffic from google news?

Once your accepted into google news your posts/blogs rank immediately. Tejsin can you elaborate more on what you did? Did you keep the Google banners and implemented the infolinks as well? Or did you stop adsense and only do infolinks? Are their any similar networks like infolinks that may pay better?

From my experience, Adsense pays way more than infolinks. Of course, you could do both.

In my opinion infolink suck, unless your traffic is coming from the USA. What am using now is adsense and media.net, they rock as well. Get paid like $0.40 to $0.70 per 1k impression.

Okay. let's say your adsense is bringing you about $400/mo and all it is banners on the side for your blog. We'll be converting the text to infolinks, and was wondering if anyone has seen anything positive from that?

T2tkid - I would disagree. I've seen a forum that is all traffic from India and monetizing over $100-200 per day just from infolinks.

I use infolinks on one of my sites, their CPC payouts are $hitty compared to adsense.

Do you use them both together?

AdSense is such a joke. Info Links actually does drive some ok revenue for what it is.

I use infolinks and have for years - it's nice for some extra pocket cash, but lately performance has gone down a bit. I set it to have a few less ads on each page to see how that goes. I had 8 per page, dropped it to 5. Not sure if that's going to matter but will find out. They do have nice customization options and you can apply for as many sites as you want and keep separate stats per site, I like that a lot.

Adsense if much better if you can get the traffic, though.

Is this OK with Adsense? I thought their policy states that you cannot use other ad networks like yahoo or msn?

I think some of you guys are missing the point im asking. I know adsense is better that infolinks. I was hoping to use them together, but seems like bostonbull might have answered my question.

im not sure if you can use them together can you due to Adsense Terms?

Yes you can use them together, i have use both of them together on some site for years now. (still using it), my earnings dropped from $15 to $4, with the same traffic. So i have to removed infolinks from some authority sites.

Adwords policy regarding competitive ads:In order to prevent user confusion, publishers may not display Google ads or search boxes on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colours as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure that these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

@T2tkid - so are you saying after you put up infolinks your adsense payout went down? Is it because since you had so many links, the link juice fell for each page? If your traffic for example was be bought in from another source other than Organic Search you can have info links and adsense an montetize from both without ad ecrease in adsense pay.

using them together for more than a year now, obvious adense pays a lot more for a click; infolink generates bigger ctr (more clicks) tho.

if you got tons of fresh content why not using them both for extra income.
