How effective do you all believe infographics are as part of a solid SEO Campaign?
Mate if you make a really good infographic you can expect a lot of shares. BUT if you are expecting shares + backlinks to your site for SEO it will be really rare. Though you can put your Website address on the infographic big and clear or put a phone number or email you may get some leads and traffic to your website for sure.
Infographics Highly Effective Visual tool play an important role in SEO,Reduce bounce rate,Make your Content Go viral,Infographics use for Quality and Relevant Backlinks
Wow,I didn't figure infographics where so important.
Influential in terms of bounce rate
So do you suggest using it as on page permanent site content or just as Blogs/Articles?
I made a super infogrpahics in my niche. It was 30 reason why you should use something. I hired a great comic illustrator.
He did a great job. I contacted almost 300 blogs from the niche. Sent each one of them customised emails. I only got 2 backlinks. That was back breaking hard work and really no return of investment.
I ended up putting the infogrpahic on infographic collections website and got some backlinks from there. Overall I would not call it useful. It worked back in the day when the concept was new I am talking about early 2010,2011,2012. These days it is not popular anymore.
I provide graphic design services on freelancer.com. I hardly see people coming infograhics anymore. Back in the good days of 2014 I would get 2-3 projects just for infos.
Hope it helps you.
In my niche, infographics are great, especially as a foot in the door for getting a guest post, on an authoritative niche blog.
nobody likes reading copious amounts text anymore and it makes sense. (to me at least)
people are visual learners and photos are easier to remember. Especially if you do the infographic well. and understand the method of what makes a good not overwhelming graphic.
Canva is a godsend for this type of work.
Infographics are great, especially when you tune the info to whatever sales funnel its for.
Have you ever heard..."Images speak a thousand words"?
This is so true when it comes to infographics!
But, why use them in our content strategy?
65% of people are visual learners
50% of our brain used in visuals
70% of all human receptors located in the eye
90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual
Brain processes images or visual information 60,000 times faster than text
It retains 80% of what we see compared to 20% of what we read
Usually, people only read 28% of the words on a webpage
Tweets with images retweeted 94% more
Where to use infographics properly?

Conclusion driven arguments
How to Do's
Do's & Don'ts

Functions & parts of something
What to look for when designing an infographic?
Use of colors - Colors have direct effects on brains, helping in inducing certain emotions. By using colors we can highlight and also distinguish between various points, sections and the sub-topics and get more attention. Through colors, one can also highlight contrasting points or arguments and also group similar points and thoughts.
Typography - It is much easier to use more than one font type in an infographic, which cannot be used in a purely textual format of content presentation. This makes easier to drive focus and attention to various topics of content. For example, through different fonts, you can distinguish between headings & details; main & sub-topics; contrasting subjects or two different sets of arguments.
Space - Empty spaces in infographics enhances its presentation and helps in spacing out the sub-topics so that look clean and are easy to understand.
Use of visuals - Use visuals like symbols, shapes, images, charts to highlight the main data points. Visuals are keys to infographic design and help in better understanding, attract & retain attention, and also strengthen your points.
To the point - You can lose the focus and also viewer interest and attention if you explain too much. And so, as one of the parameters of its designing, the information is presented as concisely and crisply as possible. This makes infographics that much more effective in delivering content and should not preferably be used for lengthier subjects.
Structural presentation - If you see infographics, the layouts are designed to present content in segments so that they look clean, have a flow to it, and a viewer is able to see & understand main subject and its sub-topics.
