when doing SEO does .com rank faster than .info or do it not matter

For a money site spend the money and get the .com since it's easier for customers to remember. Either can rank well depending on the usual suspects.

lol it doesn't matter, it al. depends on the site.. i asked same question 6 months ago at BHW, n then tested myself there is nothing such a thing..its not about info or .com its about good or bad site...if you have a good site, some value real content, noone cares about this even google.

doesnt matter. I have seen plenty of .info domains get #1 place for some VERY competitive keywords.

Go always for a .COM, the .INFO has some problems with google. They penalize a bit the .INFO sites, perhaps it's not a great diference, sio you can rank well for a .INFO site, but the trouble is there

There is no penalizing for .info domains that is one damn hard myth to dispell. Stop spreading the damn myth. Its a domain for God's sake, google does not care if its a .info or .shit as long as its a domain.

BTW Just got my .info of 8months to pr4 without any problems.

It really doesn't matter to the search engines. It does matter when considering how your url will look to your traffic. .COM tends to be more comfortable, but some people are able to make the .INFO or others fit with the url.

Yup, I have a .info that is ranking well in a competitive niche. .info is not as bad as a lot of people perceive.
